Yoga

We offer private one to one sessions of yoga which can be booked on their own or as part of a yoga and float package. Yoga and flotation therapy share much in common; they both help you to become more aware of your posture and alignment and they both help you to find your own body’s optimal blue print. Both practices also bring you to the meditative practice of breath awareness and and often other meditative experiences.

Private yoga classes can be a great way to start yoga, especially if you’ve always felt a little self conscious about trying out a new class. They also be great way to get back into yoga if you’ve had some time out. If you already have a regular practice, a private session can help you deepen your practice.

The individual attention to posture, breath and alignment that you will receive in a private is not always  possible within a class setting and for this reason many students of yoga find that they learn alot more in this setting.

Classes can be one-off or regular depending on your needs and budget.

 

About your teacher

I have taught yoga for 10 years to men, women and children of all ages and abilities.

I have studied with senior teachers from British Wheel of Yoga, Iyengar and Ashtanga traditions and have completed a teacher training program in Vinyasa yoga with YogaArts (Yoga Alliance accredited 200 hours) as well as an teacher training program in Anusara yoga (Yoga Alliance accredited 200 hours.) I am currently half way through an advanced teacher training program in Anusara yoga. At the end of this journey I hope to apply to become an Anusara certified teacher; this training is rigorous and well respected within the yoga industry and certified teachers among the most highly trained and experienced in the yoga world today.

Within the Anusara tradition, I have trained extensively with Bridget Woods Krammer, Jayendra Hanley, John Friend, Carlos Pomeda, Bill Mahoney and Sally Kempton.

I have also studied pranayama and yoga philosophy extensively with Clive Sheridan and Rose Baudin.

I am trained under the tutelage of Uma Dinsmore Tuli to teach pregnancy yoga and parent and baby yoga.

My deepest gratitude is to Buddhist teachers, Sangye Khandro and H.H The Dali Lama for it is through them that in a moment of grace a knowing was awakened within me. I will forever be grateful.
